| “bloom”
is the culmination of the last 12
months of work, photographing flora
across the seasons, and a life long
love affair with flowers for Peter
Norton.
The exhibition features exotic flora,
some back lit by natural sunlight,
creating a translucent effect with
all works printed on canvas or fine
art paper.
Exhibited in the artist's studio
in Annandale, Sydney, the images are
shown in a home environment, from
the studio, lounge, stairway and up
into the master bedroom and bathroom
— the canvas has a water resistency
which makes it ideal for display in
all areas.
In addition to the flowers, there
are six food images, featured in the
open plan kitchen — taste.
For display on the web site, the
expansive exhibition is presented
in six sections, depending upon the
type and feel of the image and flower:
contempo —
vibrant camellias and poppies on canvas
lush — a variety
of exotic flora from orchids, gloriosas
and lillies on canvas
blush — pink
magnolias on "blue skies",
box framed on fine art paper
elegance —
pure white magnolias and arum lillies
on a contrasting black background,
box framed on fine art paper
tropical —
lotus flowers, hibiscus', banana leaf
and crab claws, on canvas
taste — food
